"Geoterrace" global navigation satellite system station installed in Kalush

A satellite monitoring system of the earth's surface movement has been implemented in the Kalush community. It will allow to respond quickly and dynamically analyze all tectonic changes in our community.
A satellite monitoring station of the Global Navigation Satellite System “GEOTERRACE” was installed last week at the administrative building of the Emergency Situations Department.
The GNSS operator is the Educational and Research Institute of Geodesy of Lviv Polytechnic National University. The satellite monitoring station was installed free of charge as part of the cooperation agreement between Lviv Polytechnic National University and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
The scientists assured that the station will improve the methodology for monitoring technologically loaded areas within the Kalush community. Processing the station's data will make it possible to process information about its spatial movements (vertical and horizontal movements) and assess the geodynamics at its installation site. Similar stations are installed at a distance of 30 km from each other to get a complete picture of the earth's surface movement.
Given the specifics of the Kalush community, such monitoring is very relevant.
