Carpathian Initiative for Environmental Resilience and Community Development
The Carpathian Resilience Initiative brings together our work in environmental education, local open environmental data, environmental conservation and research, climate resilience, and community development.
Our Programs

Environmental Education
We foster environmental awareness among children and young people through the Carpathian Eco-Library — a model learning space for rural communities that combines hands-on learning, field research, and work with local environmental data.

Environment & Sustainability
We study small rivers, protected areas, and other natural resources of the Carpathians, develop open local environmental data and analysis, and help communities identify practical solutions for climate resilience.

Health and Community Development
We improve quality of life in communities by upgrading medical equipment, supporting healthcare facilities, strengthening social infrastructure, and developing practical solutions that improve access to quality services.

Carpathian Green Laboratory in Manyava
In Manyava, we are creating a permanent environmental learning space for children and young people, bringing together the Carpathian Eco-Library, digital technologies, hands-on research, and outdoor learning.
Our goal is to make Manyava a local model hub for environmental education in rural Carpathian communities. Your support will help equip the laboratory and provide free educational activities for children and young people.
Local Open Environmental Data
We collect and systematize local environmental data on Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast — from small rivers and protected areas to the condition of natural resources and environmental challenges in local communities. We publish this information through open catalogs, data profiles, and analytical materials, making it accessible to communities, researchers, educators, and professionals.

Rivers of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
An open catalog of small rivers in the region, featuring hydrological, ecological, geographical, and historical data on each water body.

Protected Areas
An open catalog of protected areas in the region, providing information on their status, location, and natural value.

Environment of Ivano-Frankivsk region
Local data and resources on the state of the environment, natural resources, and current environmental challenges in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
Our projects

Protected Areas of Ivano-Frankivsk Region
We research and systematize information on the protected areas of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, develop an open catalog, collect data on protected sites, and raise awareness of their natural value.

Small Rivers Monitoring
We study small rivers across Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, conduct community surveys, collect and systematize data on their condition, and develop an open information base on the region’s water resources.

Medical Equipment
We improved access to modern healthcare services at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Perinatal Center by providing modern medical equipment and strengthening the facility’s technical capacity.
