Students of Manyava Lyceum immersed themselves in the world of STEM and energy efficiency at the ecological library!

To mark the International Day of Energy Saving, our ecological library became a hub for a true scientific mission. The students of Grade 8-A from Manyava Lyceum, led by teacher Nataliia Monastyretska, participated in a practical STEM lesson focused on the rational use of energy.
During this interactive session, the students worked as young engineers and energy auditors. They explored how everyday household actions affect energy consumption and learned to identify where and how energy use can be reduced.
The students applied physical formulas and mathematical calculations to analyze real-life situations, including:

  • comparing the energy consumption of regular versus LED light bulbs;
  • assessing the effectiveness of home insulation;
  • drawing conclusions about simple actions that can significantly reduce energy costs.

The lesson clearly demonstrated that energy saving is not a dry theory, but concrete steps available to everyone. The students gained not only new knowledge but also practical tools that will help them make more responsible and eco-friendly decisions in their daily lives.
Youth Public Environmental Organization “Our Home – Manyava” sincerely thanks Manyava Lyceum for their active participation in promoting environmental education. Cooperation with educational institutions is a vital pathway to forming an eco-conscious generation that understands the importance of using resources responsibly and is ready to act for the future of their community.
Developing environmental knowledge among young people is an investment in a strong, responsible, and resilient community. We believe that environmental education is the key to sustainable development, and our ecological library continues to introduce modern educational formats, interactive lessons, and practical programs for children and youth. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all partners, educators, and the Manyava Lyceum for their contribution to fostering an environmentally conscious Manyava.
