The NGO “Our Home – Manyava”, in partnership with the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Perinatal Center, has successfully completed a project to supply modern medical equipment.
The initiative was made possible with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine under the Kusanone Human Security Grant Program.
The project began with an official grant agreement signing ceremony attended by Ambassador Nakagome and representatives of the perinatal center and the NGO “Our Home – Manyava”. This event marked an important step toward improving the quality of healthcare services for newborns in the region.
As part of the project, a modern neonatal ventilator AVEA (Vyaire Medical Inc., USA) was procured and installed in the neonatal intensive care unit. The project also included the provision of essential consumables to ensure its proper operation and maintenance.
The equipment is now actively used in daily medical practice, enabling healthcare professionals to respond more effectively to critical conditions in newborns.
The project has significantly strengthened the capacity of the intensive care unit and contributed to improving the quality of medical services for the youngest patients.
“This is not just equipment — it is a chance for a better quality of life for the youngest patients,” says Olha Sadova, Head of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The team of “Our Home – Manyava”, together with the medical staff of the center, worked on the project for several months — from concept development to full implementation.
“We believe that this equipment will help save many children’s lives,” emphasized Mykola Skydaniuk, Head of the organization.
The project was implemented in 2025 with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine.
