Kosiv City Council has decided to allocate funds to purchase a solar power plant (SPP) to save money on water supply. Yuri Ploskonos, the Mayor of the city of Kosiv, announced this.
Kosiv City Council allocated UAH 1.5 million to purchase and install a 56 kW solar power plant. The first launch took place on the 10th of October. Water is pumped in by two 15 kW pumps. This means that even in winter, the capacity of the SPP should be partially sufficient to operate one pump. Excess electricity will be supplied to the grid. We will also be able to supply water to most consumers during prolonged power outages. Thus, the investment should be recouped within three years at the most, and then there will be net savings,” said Ploskonos.
