A series of STEM classes in physics and chemistry were recently held at our Ecological Library for Children and Youth, combining science with ecological awareness and creativity.
"Ingenious! Engineering in Action" was the title of the physics class, which introduced students to fascinating technologies and engineering solutions. The specialized athletic 7-B class students explored how superprojects work — from aviation to robotics — and how engineering innovations are changing the world, from space technologies to assistive devices that can serve both people and nature.
"The Climate in Your Hands" was the theme of the chemistry class, where students from the 9-A class immersed themselves in studying climate change, focusing particularly on the Carpathian region. The children investigated the effects of global warming on the unique mountain ecosystem, discussed potential local solutions, and explored the school community's role in environmental preservation. They also shared their vision of an ecological future and proposed ideas on how schools can contribute to tackling climate challenges.
These classes provided not only new knowledge but also a platform for forming an active ecological mindset among young people.
We sincerely thank everyone for their participation and interest! Together, we create change.
