According to the Nadvirna District Military Administration, the administrations of the Yablunytsia and Tatariv Nature Protection Research Divisions of Carpathian National Nature Park have been officially opened. The event was attended by the Head of the Nadvirna District Military Administration, Petro Khmelovskyi.
According to the district administration, the initiative aims to strengthen the material and technical capacity of one of Ukraine’s oldest protected areas, improve the protection of the natural complexes of the Ukrainian Carpathians, support scientific research, and advance environmental education and awareness activities.
Carpathian National Nature Park is one of the key protected areas in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Its work plays an important role in conserving biodiversity, natural landscapes, and mountain ecosystems.
The opening of the territorial division administrations is more than an organisational development. Effective nature conservation requires that the protected status of territories be supported by real operational capacity on the ground: adequate infrastructure, professional staff, scientific research, monitoring of natural ecosystems, and environmental education activities.
Strengthening the capacity of the Yablunytsia and Tatariv divisions creates additional opportunities for more effective conservation work and for safeguarding the natural heritage of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
