Dolyna City Council is working to improve the energy supply for water and sewage systems in Dolyna City through the operation of a municipal solar power plant. Thus, solar panels have been installed at the utility company 'Vodokanal" wastewater treatment plant, which will ensure the institution's autonomy in the absence of a power supply. The initiative is being implemented in two phases. The first stage is operating at the treatment facilities of Vodokanal, where more than 130,000 kWh of electricity has already been generated.
Another station at Vodozabor with a capacity of 120 kW is being completed. The batteries will be charged from the station and, even in the absence of sun, the pumps will be able to operate for 4 hours (approximately).
