Carpathian Green Laboratory
A permanent learning space in Manyava where children combine books, digital technology, practical research, field observation, and responsible environmental action.
Not another room filled with equipment.
Today’s children want more than simply to read about nature. They want to observe it through a microscope, work with digital maps, model natural processes, compare data, conduct experiments, and find answers independently.
A continuously operating educational model
We are building a year-round system with a dedicated coordinator, a structured programme, cooperation with schools and local government, and the involvement of experts, universities, environmental institutions, technology professionals, and volunteers.
Equipment must become experience
Equipment without a system for using it can remain on a shelf. Our goal is to create a space that works regularly, responsibly, and throughout the year.
From a rural EcoClass to a regional learning model.
EcoClass
With support from the International Organization for Migration, we established an EcoClass in a rural school, equipped with a water-analysis laboratory and digital microscopes.
Carpathian Environmental Library
The Library in Manyava contains more than 3,600 books, journals, atlases, reference publications, and educational materials, developed with contributions from more than 43 partners.

The next stage connects books with modern technology, practical research, environmental modelling, and direct experience of nature.
Free environmental education for rural children.
The Laboratory will serve children and young people from all 14 schools of the Solotvyn Territorial Community in the Ukrainian Carpathians.

The public goal also protects the project against exchange-rate fluctuations, inflation, procurement price changes, and fundraising-platform or payment costs.

The Laboratory will become part of the Carpathian Environmental Library and the developing Carpathian Environmental Education Centre.
Its continued operation will be supported through cooperation with schools, local government, universities, environmental institutions, volunteers, corporate partners, and future grant programmes.
Our organization has received three KUSANONE grants from the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine in 2014, 2020, and 2021.
