Mountain rivers replenished with brook trout fry

The Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Office of the State Agency for the Development of Land Reclamation, Fisheries, and Food Programs, together with the employees of the Synihora National Nature Park, have carried out important work on the restoration of aquatic bioresources. This initiative is aimed at preserving and restoring native fish species, in particular brook trout, which is an important component of local ecosystems.

One of the main stages of this work was the stocking of the Bystrytsia Solotvynska River, which was replenished with 25,000 brook trout. The average weight of one specimen was 3.05 grams.

The river stocking is aimed at preserving and restoring the brook trout population, which is a natural inhabitant of the Carpathian rivers. This fish species plays a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance in the region. Thanks to such initiatives, it is possible not only to restore the fish population but also to improve the condition of water resources, which has a positive impact on the environment in general.

The joint work of government agencies and environmental institutions, such as the Syniogora National Nature Park, is an important step towards preserving the natural wealth of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and contributes to the sustainable development of the region's natural resources.
